With the 47th Pick Overall, the Packers Take OT

With the 47th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft (acquired in a draft-day deal with Atlanta), the Packers chose OT Daryn Colledge from Boise State.

Who?

OK...we start to get to the point in the draft -- unless you are really hardcore -- where unfamiliar names begin to appear.

Suffice it to say for now, that Colledge has been referred to as a "tweener," despite being a fast and physical O-lineman. He's a tackle, but in terms of size might be better suited at guard...and perhaps that's what the Packers have in mind. Is this a stretch pick? It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Oh, he also played at North Pole High School. No kidding. So he should feel right at home in Green Bay come December and January (yes, we ARE back in the playoffs!)
