It's official: Brett Favre has finally submitted his reinstatement papers to the NFL Commissioner's office. According to a report in the Green Bay Press-Gazette, "The Packers issued this one-sentence statement shortly before 5:30 p.m.: 'We have been advised that a letter of reinstatement has been received by the league office. As with all matters like these, any questions should be referred to the commissioner’s office.'" That means Brett will likely be at Packers training circus, er, camp before the end of the week. On other fronts related to Brett, it appears that there are not many eager takers for his services at this point, at least among those teams to which the Packers would consider trading Brett. More on that story here.
And how is the current starting QB, Aaron Rodgers, handling things? Check out this story and this one for more on that angle.
This should be REAL interesting, kids. The Hall of Fame QB coming into camp as the designated -- and disgruntled -- back up. Wow.
