Jenkins Gets His Reward
Lost in the shuffle of the Randy Moss trade kerfuffle (hey, cool rhyme, eh!) was the news that hard-working defensive end/tackle Cullen Jenkins was signed to a long-term contract by the Packers this week. Jenkins is a guy who didn't give up on himself after being a training camp cut a few years ago. He went to NFL Europe, paid his dues, and finally got his chance to break into the starting lineup this past season, effectively replacing KGB at defensive end opposite Aaron Kampman while also being a stout performer in the middle of the line when needed. The Packers rewarded his performance and obviously view him as a key component of the defensive line for several years to come. Congrats to Mr. Jenkins.
